About

Hello, my name is Kim and thanks for checking out my website.

I’m married to a wonderful man who we’ll call J and mom to a toddler named Peanut.  Since my son was born in 2008, I’ve been a stay at home mom (SAHM) and quickly figured out that it’s the hardest job in the world.  This statement is true for stay at home dads too, not to exclude anyone.  After taking a sabbatical from the job world for a little over a year, I launched Work At Home Safari – the online community for work at home moms, dads, and everyone else who’s trying to make a living in the comfort of their own home.

In my previous life, I was an executive at a large telecommunications company that you might have heard of.  Hint: their name is spelled with just three letters.  I started there in a management development program where I got to “sample” the major business functions of a Fortune 100 Company.  The program was kind of the pu-pu platter of the corporate world.   Luckily, that experience helped this accountanting and communications major become well-versed, not only in finance, but also in project management,  marketing, advertising, operations, computer engineering management, and my favorite, human resources/recruiting because I directly helped people.  My team and I hired thousands of employees so  I’ve seen tens of thousands of resumes and cover letters, interviewed hiring managers, candidates, and employees, and understand what it takes to land the job.

I launched Work At Home Safari to help anyone interested in working from home find legitimate job opportunities (data entry, computer, freelance), get tips starting a part-time business, share how you found success, and make friends online.

Today, I’m a mom, wife, and work-at-home entrepreneur.
